| The layout of The Burn How is refreshingly different to most other hotels.
In the main house you will find the reception area, The Burn How Restaurant and the residents’ lounge and bar, whereas all of the hotel’s bedrooms are located outside the main building within our private grounds.
Briscoe Lodge was built in 1891 and is 1-minute walk from the centre of Windermere. The guest house offers en suite rooms, free Wi-Fi and an on-site masseur.
Set in a stone Victorian slate house, The Briscoe retains many original features whilst offering modern rooms. Rooms come with TV’s, DVD player (with access to a DVD library) and tea-coffee making facilities.
Briscoe Lodge serves fantastic breakfasts. With traditional and continental options, vegans and vegetarians are also catered for.
Bowness and Lake Windermere are within walking distance, and the train and bus stations can be reached in 10 minutes. Windermere town centre has excellent restaurants, shops and country pubs.
