| The layout of The Burn How is refreshingly different to most other hotels.
In the main house you will find the reception area, The Burn How Restaurant and the residents’ lounge and bar, whereas all of the hotel’s bedrooms are located outside the main building within our private grounds.

The Howbeck is only a 2-minute walk from the main village which has many shops and good restaurants and bistros. Windermere Steamboats and Museum and the market towns of Kendal and Keswick are amongst many things to visit in the area.
A luxury pool and spa complex is a short walk from The Howbeck which guests have free use of, dependent on availability. The Howbeck Guest House also has special arrangements with some local restaurants for its guests and can make reservations on their behalf.
