| The layout of The Burn How is refreshingly different to most other hotels.
In the main house you will find the reception area, The Burn How Restaurant and the residents’ lounge and bar, whereas all of the hotel’s bedrooms are located outside the main building within our private grounds.
Located just a 2-minute walk from Windermere town centre, the Westbury Hotel is a Victorian house made from Lakeland-stone. The family-run hotel offers bedrooms with en suite showers and TVs.
The Westbury’s staff provides friendly service and are experts on the surrounding area. They can provide maps, walking routes and advise, and make reservations, for local restaurants.
Rooms are comfortable and have feature hair dryers, free toiletries, radios and tea/coffee making facilities. The Westbury has beautiful views of Ellerthwaite Park, which sits opposite.
A hearty Cumbrian breakfast is served in the dining room, with vegetarian and special dietary requirements also catered for.
The train and bus station are a 5-minute walk whilst the shores of Lake Windermere are 15 minutes away. Free parking is also available.
